The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, July 29 reveals Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will find out Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) was murdered.
Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will warn Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) to stay away from Genoa City. Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will learn tragic news from Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will defend Cane.
Y&R spoilers tease Kyle will call Claire. She’ll ask if he’s okay and still at the Chateau. He’ll say he is. “Only, it’s turned into Cane Ashby’s house of horrors.” Then he’ll tell her Cane used the Dumas as an alias. He’ll add he’s sorry he couldn’t get in touch. There was no way to contact anyone.
He’ll ask how Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) is. “He didn’t make it,” she’ll reply. “My dad died.” Kyle will say he wishes he could hold her right now and he’ll ask when the service is. Claire will say they were planning on holding something for him today.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Billy Says He Told Abby About Chance’s Death
After she hangs up, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will come downstairs and Claire will say maybe they should hold off on the service. But Victoria will tell her Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) in the hospital and her parents aren’t sure when they’ll return.
Then Nate will arrive, to support Victoria and Claire. But Claire will say she wants to wait to hold the memorial until everyone returns. Nate will say it makes sense. Victoria will ask if he spoke with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and he’ll say he did but she didn’t say much.
Nate’s phone will ring and it’ll be Lily. “Are you somewhere you can talk in private?” she’ll ask. So, Nate will head outside. He’ll tell Lily he heard that Dumas is Cane and ask if she’s all right. She’ll say she is. “You don’t sound okay,” he’ll reply. “When I talked to Audra, I could tell there was something she wasn’t telling me.”
Lily will say she hates to tell him over the phone. “Damian is gone, he was killed,” she’ll tell Nate. He’ll ask if there was an accident. But Lily will say he was murdered. Nate won’t understand until Lily tells him she and Damian became romantically involved and Cane’s assistant killed him for it.
“Amy, she barely got her son back,” he’ll reply. “This will crush her.” Nate will walk back inside and tell Victoria and Claire his brother was murdered at the chateau. “I thought we had a lifetime to get to know each other and now he’s gone.” And Victoria will embrace him.
Nate will say he should leave, but they’ll ask him to stay. “If anyone understands what you’re going through, it’s us,” Victoria will tell him. “Part of me dreads going home, I have to break this news to Damian’s mother,” he’ll say. And Victoria will take his hand.
In the main car, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will ask how it could end like this. “Damian and Chance both dead.” Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will say Cane is a monster. He’ll also wonder how to tell Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Billy will say he already told Abby. Offscreen, of course.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cane Tells Lily He Will Make Amends
Phyllis will comment she thinks it’s unfair that everyone is pointing fingers at Cane. Billy will agree and say he’s innocent. “Their deaths are on his head,” Jack will reply. “Chance was a great guy, Nina and Jill are going to be devastated by his loss.”
Audra will walk in and she and Diane will trade barbs. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will pour her a drink, saying she looks like she needs one. Then Kyle will walk in and tell Jack and Diane that Cole is dead. Then he’ll confront Audra.
“Claire’s father died,” he’ll say. “Thanks to you, I am trapped here, unable to do anything for her. Audra will say she’s sorry about Claire’s dad. “But you choosing to be here, that is hardly on me,” she’ll add. “Stop playing the victim, you kissed me back.”
In Cane’s office, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will tell Cane the investigation is over and he’s in the clear. And she’ll ask what happens next. “We play it out, as planned,” he’ll reply.
Amanda will ask if he’s sure. “With the exception of Billy and Phyllis, you have gained more enemies than friends,” she’ll add. But Cane will say he’s not backing down.
Finally, Cane will arrive at Lily’s door and he’ll apologize. “Damian’s death, Chance’s, even Carter,” he’ll tell her. “It’s going to haunt me for the rest of my life.” But he’s going to make it right. “Are you still planning on coming back to Genoa City?” Lily will ask.
Cane will say he will make amends. “You’ve caused nothing but tragedy,” she’ll reply. “Nothing will happen between us, ever again, and you only have yourself to blame.” As he walks away she’ll shout at him to stay away from Genoa City.
